How it got here
This legislation originated from the need for performance audits of economic development and affordable housing programs in San Francisco.
Supervisor Preston introduced a motion directing the Budget and Legislative Analyst to conduct performance audits of the Office of Economic and Workforce Development and the Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development.
The motion was referred to the relevant departments for review and input.
The Government Audit and Oversight Committee recommended the motion as a committee report for approval by the full Board.
The Board of Supervisors approved the motion, directing the Budget and Legislative Analyst to conduct the audits as proposed.
