How it got here
The legislation originated from the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission's need to adjust rates for the CleanPowerSF Community Choice Aggregation Program.
The Board established a Community Choice Aggregation program through Ordinance No. 86-04, which led to the implementation of CleanPowerSF.
The Planning Department determined that the proposed CleanPowerSF Rate Adjustment is statutorily exempt from environmental review under CEQA.
The SFPUC adopted Resolution No. 21-0152, establishing a new rate adjustment methodology for CleanPowerSF, effective November 1, 2021.
The Clerk of the Board received the resolution from the SFPUC, which required Board review and potential rejection within 30 days.
The Board of Supervisors continued the hearing on the proposed rates adjustment for CleanPowerSF.
The Board of Supervisors convened as a Committee of the Whole to hear the CleanPowerSF rates and charges, ultimately hearing and filing the item.
