How it got here
This legislation originated from the need to appoint new members to the Children, Youth and Their Families Oversight and Advisory Committee, as mandated by the City Charter.
The Children, Youth and Their Families Oversight and Advisory Committee was established to review governance and policies of the Department of Children, Youth and Their Families, as per Charter Section 16.108-1.
Voters approved Proposition C, which included provisions for the establishment of the Children, Youth and Their Families Oversight and Advisory Committee.
The Department submitted recommendations for new appointments to the Oversight and Advisory Committee, including Jada Curry, Jennifer Salerno, and Julie Roberts-Phung.
The Rules Committee prepared the motion for the appointments and recommended it for approval.
The Board of Supervisors approved the motion appointing Jada Curry, Jennifer Salerno, and Julie Roberts-Phung to the Committee.
