How it got here
The legislation originated from the need to secure unarmed security guard services for the Human Services Agency in San Francisco, following the expiration of the previous contract.
OCA issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for security guard services, which was part of the procurement process to replace the existing contract with Allied Universal Security Services.
The Board approved Resolution No. 369-23, allowing the Human Services Agency to contract for private security guard services for its facilities, as required annually under Proposition J.
