How it got here
The legislation originated from a request by Ayob's Community Market Corp. to transfer a liquor license for their new supermarket, Evergreen Market, located at 3250 Mission Street.
Ayob's Community Market Corp. entered into an agreement to transfer a Type-21 liquor license on February 23, 2024.
The Clerk of the Board referred the liquor license transfer request to the Planning and Police Departments for their review and recommendations.
The Police Department filed 55 protests and 19 letters of support regarding the liquor license application and recommended that the license be issued with conditions.
The Planning Department confirmed that the area is properly zoned for the proposed liquor license and recommended approval.
The Public Safety and Neighborhood Services Committee prepared and recommended the resolution for the liquor license transfer.
The Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution No. 409-24, determining that the liquor license transfer serves the public convenience or necessity.
Mayor London N. Breed approved the resolution, allowing the liquor license transfer to proceed.
