How it got here
The legislation originated from an arbitration process mandated by the San Francisco City Charter to resolve a collective bargaining impasse between the City and the San Francisco District Attorney Investigators' Association.
Formal mediation sessions were conducted to address the collective bargaining issues between the City and the District Attorney Investigators' Association, resolving all but one issue.
An arbitration hearing was held to resolve the remaining issue regarding POST and/or Education Premium Pay, with evidence presented by both parties.
The Arbitration Board issued its decision, adopting the City's proposal for the POST Premium Pay increase from 6.5% to 6.84%.
The Mayor introduced the ordinance to adopt and implement the Arbitration Board's decision, establishing the Collective Bargaining Agreement for the District Attorney Investigators' Association.
The Government Audit and Oversight Committee recommended the ordinance for approval to the full Board of Supervisors.
The Board of Supervisors passed the ordinance on first reading, moving it closer to final approval.
The Board of Supervisors finally passed the ordinance, officially adopting the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
