Resolution retroactively authorizing the Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing (“HSH”) to enter into a Grant Agreement for a term commencing on July 1, 2023, through December 31, 2025, between the City and County of San Francisco (“City”), acting by and through HSH, and the San Francisco Health Plan, not to exceed $3,227,884 in order to provide enhanced onsite services, increase site accessibility and support data integration for permanent supportive housing under the Housing and Homelessness Incentive Program (“HHIP”); and authorizing HSH to enter into any amendments or other modifications to the agreement that do not materially increase the obligations or liabilities, or materially decrease the benefits to the City and are necessary or advisable to effectuate the purposes of the agreement.
How it got here
The legislation originated from the need to enhance services for permanent supportive housing in San Francisco, funded through the Housing and Homelessness Incentive Program (HHIP).
HSH was notified by the SFHP that HHIP funds would be distributed to support enhancements in permanent supportive housing.
The Board adopted the FY 2023-2025 Budget and Appropriation Ordinance, which included anticipated HHIP grant funds for HSH.
HSH received a draft Grant Agreement from the SFHP for a total grant amount of $3,227,884.
HSH submitted a request for retroactive authorization to enter into the Grant Agreement with SFHP.
The Budget and Finance Committee recommended the resolution to authorize HSH to enter into the Grant Agreement.
The Board of Supervisors adopted the resolution authorizing HSH to enter into the Grant Agreement with SFHP.
The Mayor approved the resolution, finalizing the authorization for the Grant Agreement.
