How it got here
This legislation originated from the need for renewable energy supplies for San Francisco's CleanPowerSF program, following a competitive procurement process initiated by the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission.
The Board established a Community Choice Aggregation program known as CleanPowerSF to provide electric power to residents and businesses in San Francisco.
The SFPUC issued a Request for Offers (RFO PRO.0263) to acquire renewable energy supplies needed to meet the City's clean energy targets and state regulatory requirements.
The SFPUC evaluated seven distinct project proposals in response to the RFO and determined the highest scoring proposal was from Intersect Power for the Easley Solar Project.
The SFPUC authorized the General Manager to seek Board of Supervisors approval for a Renewable Power Purchase Agreement with IP Easley II, LLC, for an amount not to exceed $75,000,000.
The Budget and Finance Committee recommended the resolution for the Power Purchase Agreement with IP Easley II, LLC.
The Board of Supervisors adopted the resolution approving the Power Purchase Agreement with IP Easley II, LLC.
