The Department issued an RFP for the 2024-2029 funding cycle, inviting proposals for youth programs.
The Japanese Community Youth Council submitted proposals for three programs: Japantown Youth Leaders, Mayor’s Youth Employment and Education Program, and SF STEM Academy.
A grant agreement was drafted to fund the three programs for a total not to exceed amount of $40,386,800.
The Budget and Appropriations Committee recommended the grant agreement for approval.
The Board of Supervisors adopted the resolution approving the grant agreement for the Japanese Community Youth Council programs.
The Mayor approved the resolution, finalizing the grant agreement.
