The legislation originated from the Mayor's nomination of Sean McGarry to the Planning Commission, prompted by the need to fill an expired term.
Mayor Breed submitted a communication to the Board of Supervisors notifying them of the nomination of Sean McGarry to the Planning Commission, filling the seat previously held by Joel Koppel whose term had expired.
The Board of Supervisors received the nomination from Mayor Breed, as required by Charter Section 4.105.
The Rules Committee reviewed the nomination and recommended it as amended, following a public hearing.
The Board of Supervisors approved the motion for Sean McGarry's appointment to the Planning Commission for a four-year term ending July 1, 2028.
