Multiple workers at Subway franchises owned by Marvan Enterprises, Inc. and Van Buren Enterprises, Inc. reported being paid below minimum wage, not receiving wages, and being denied overtime and breaks.
Supervisors Ronen, Preston, Walton, Peskin, and Safai introduced a resolution supporting the workers and urging compliance with wage laws.
The Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution No. 425-24, supporting Subway workers and urging compliance with state minimum wage laws.
The Mayor returned the resolution unsigned, allowing it to become effective without her approval.
