How it got here
This legislation originated from the need to efficiently manage the Music Concourse Garage in Golden Gate Park, prompting a second amendment to the existing management agreement with IMCO Parking, LLC.
Voters approved Proposition N, allowing the City to acquire and operate the Music Concourse Garage, which was previously managed by the Music Concourse Community Partnership.
RecPark requested the SFMTA to manage the Music Concourse Garage after its transfer, in line with how other RecPark facilities are managed.
The SFMTA determined that the amendment to the IMCO Contract is not a 'project' under CEQA, allowing for the management transition without further environmental review.
The SFMTA Board approved the second amendment to the IMCO Contract to add the Music Concourse Garage and increase the contract amount by $27 million.
