Resolution approving Amendment No. 6 to Contract No. 1000029167 between the City, acting by and through the Department of Public Works, and Hunters Point Family, to create employment opportunities, job training and workforce development programs, and ensure the availability of safe and clean public restrooms for the Pit Stop Workforce Development Grant Program, extending the term by nine months for a total term of July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2025, increasing the contract amount by $6,972,047.52 for a new total not to exceed amount from of $16,238,478.52; and to authorize the Director of Public Works to make necessary, non-material changes to the Amendment before its execution.

The Department issued a Request for Proposals for a qualified non-profit organization to provide Pit Stop facility attendance and maintenance, data reporting, and workforce development.

The Commission awarded a grant to Hunters Point Family in the amount of $8,425,706 for the Pit Stop Workforce Development Grant Program.

The grant agreement was executed, establishing a term from July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024.

The first amendment increased the contract amount to $8,728,690 and adjusted pay rates to meet Minimum Compensation Ordinance requirements.

The second amendment revised schedules and sites for the program.

The third amendment increased the contract amount to $8,766,431 and amended budget details.

The fourth amendment extended the term through July 2024 and increased the contract amount to $9,266,431.

The fifth amendment extended the term through September 2024 and amended budget details.

The Board approved the sixth amendment, extending the term by nine months and increasing the contract amount to $16,238,478.52.
