How it got here
The legislation originated from the need to amend the Tax Increment Allocation Pledge Agreement to facilitate the development of the Candlestick Point and Phase 2 of the Hunters Point Shipyard Redevelopment Project in response to delays and changes in project scope.
The Board approved Resolution No. 264-07, endorsing a conceptual framework for the integrated development of Phase 2 of the Hunters Point Shipyard and the Candlestick Point subarea.
Voters passed Proposition G, which adopted policies for the revitalization of the Project Site and authorized the conveyance of City land for the project.
