Resolution approving Agreement between the City, acting by and through the Office of Contract Administration, and Gillig LLC for the purchase of electric transit buses for San Francisco International Airport, for a term of four years from December 1, 2024, through November 30, 2028, and for a total not to exceed amount of $68,772,334; and to authorize the Office of Contract Administration to make necessary, non-material changes to the Agreement prior to its final execution by all parties that do not materially increase the obligations or liabilities to the City and are necessary or advisable to effectuate the purposes of the Agreement.

BYD Coach and Bus, LLC was deemed non-responsive due to incomplete documentation and failure to meet specifications, leaving Gillig LLC as the only responsive bidder.

Gillig LLC was awarded the contract for the purchase of electric transit buses after being deemed the lowest responsive bidder.

The Airport was awarded $5,139,750 in grants from the FAA and the California Hybrid and Zero-Emission Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project to support the bus purchase.

The Budget and Finance Committee recommended the resolution to approve the agreement with Gillig LLC for the purchase of electric buses.

The Board of Supervisors adopted the resolution approving the agreement with Gillig LLC for a total not to exceed amount of $68,772,334.
