This legislation originated from the need to extend and increase funding for a contract with Professional Business Providers, Inc. for the operation and maintenance of airport systems.
The Airport Commission issued a Request for Proposals for the operation, maintenance, and repair of Airport-owned baggage handling systems and passenger boarding bridges.
The Airport Commission awarded Professional Services Agreement No. 50240 to Professional Business Providers, Inc. for a three-year term with an option to extend for two years.
The Board of Supervisors approved the Agreement under San Francisco Charter Section 9.118(b).
Modification No. 1 was approved to update overtime language and standard contractual clauses without changing the contract amount.
Modification No. 2 was approved to increase the annual allowance for parts and materials and update staffing levels, with no change to the total not-to-exceed amount.
The Airport Commission approved Modification No. 3 to extend the contract term by two years and increase the contract amount by $13,349,549.
The Board of Supervisors adopted the resolution approving Modification No. 3, bringing the total contract amount to $26,464,164.
