How it got here
The legislation originated from the need to renew a water service contract between the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission and the United States Department of Energy for the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.
The SFPUC approved Contract No. AT(04-3)-269 for the sale and delivery of water to the U.S. Department of Energy for the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.
The SFPUC approved a new 10-year water service contract with the DOE for LLNL, which was later approved by the Board of Supervisors on March 10, 2015.
The SFPUC authorized the General Manager to execute a new 10-year water service contract with the DOE for continued service to LLNL, subject to Board approval.
The Board of Supervisors adopted the resolution authorizing the General Manager of the SFPUC to execute the new water service contract with the DOE.
