How it got here
The legislation originated from the requirement in the San Francisco Charter for the Sheriff's Department Oversight Board to submit quarterly reports to the Board of Supervisors.
On February 7, 2025, the Sheriff's Department Oversight Board approved the fourth quarter report for the calendar year 2024, which is mandated by Charter Section 4.137.
The Board Secretary, Dan Leung, submitted the proposed resolution and the approved fourth quarter report to the Clerk of the Board for consideration by the Board of Supervisors.
The Government Audit and Oversight Committee recommended the resolution for passage during their meeting.
The Board of Supervisors adopted the resolution accepting the Sheriff's Department Oversight Board's Fourth Quarter Report for the calendar year 2024.
The Mayor approved the resolution following its adoption by the Board of Supervisors.
