Resolution approving an agreement between the City, acting by and through the Office of Contract Administration (“OCA”), and The Dutra Group (“Dutra”) for a custom crane barge for the Port of San Francisco, for an initial term of approximately two years from final execution of the Contract by all parties (“Effective Date”) to July 14, 2027, with an option to extend for a period of one year, for a total not to exceed amount of $16,747,196; and to authorize OCA to make necessary, non-material changes to the Contract prior to its final execution by all parties that do not materially increase the obligations or liabilities to the City and are necessary or advisable to effectuate the purposes of the Agreement.

Port engineers collaborated with a naval-architecture firm to develop the design and specifications for a new crane barge, as the existing one was beyond its useful life.

The Office of Contract Administration issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for a custom crane barge for the Port of San Francisco.

The Dutra Group submitted the only response to the RFQ and was deemed the sole qualified and responsive proposer.

The Budget and Finance Committee recommended the resolution to approve the contract with The Dutra Group for the crane barge.

The Board of Supervisors adopted the resolution approving the contract with The Dutra Group for a not-to-exceed amount of $16,747,196.

The Mayor approved the resolution, allowing the Office of Contract Administration to finalize the contract with The Dutra Group.
