Supervisor Jackie Fielder introduced the resolution to designate July 12, 2025, as TUCAN(S) DAY in honor of the fifth anniversary of the event and Sean Monterrosa's legacy.
The Board of Supervisors adopted the resolution designating July 12, 2025, as TUCAN(S) DAY, with unanimous support from the members present.
The Mayor returned the resolution unsigned, but it became effective without his approval as per the city charter.
