Supervisor Chan introduced an ordinance to modify the Geary Boulevard Neighborhood Commercial District to permit outdoor handwashing, vacuuming, and detailing of automobiles as an accessory use in certain automotive service stations.

The Planning Commission held a public hearing and adopted Resolution No. 21816, recommending approval of the ordinance with modifications.

The Land Use and Transportation Committee amended the ordinance and continued it for further consideration.
The Board of Supervisors passed the ordinance on first reading.
The Board of Supervisors finally passed the ordinance, allowing outdoor automobile services in the specified district.
