How it got here
The legislation originated from a need to extend and increase funding for HIV health services rental subsidies provided by Catholic Charities, following a competitive procurement process initiated by the Department of Public Health.
DPH issued RFP No. 39-2020 for HIV health services rental subsidies services.
DPH entered into an agreement with Catholic Charities for HIV health services rental subsidies for a total not-to-exceed amount of $6,109,208.
DPH increased the monthly subsidy amounts to $400 for adults without dependents and $500 for adults with dependents, while reducing the target client count from 240 to 154.
DPH submitted a proposed resolution to amend the agreement with Catholic Charities to extend the term and increase the funding by $7,317,206.
The Budget and Finance Committee recommended the proposed amendment for approval.
The Board of Supervisors adopted the resolution approving Amendment No. 1 to the agreement with Catholic Charities.
