Resolution approving the third amendment to the grant agreement between Episcopal Community Services and the Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing (“HSH”) for shelter services at Sanctuary Shelter; extending the grant term by 24 months from June 30, 2026, for a total term of July 1, 2021, through June 30, 2028; increasing the agreement amount by $15,140,870 for a new total amount not to exceed $40,896,141; and authorizing HSH to enter into any amendments or other modifications to the Amendment that do not materially increase the obligations or liabilities, or materially decrease the benefits to the City and are necessary or advisable to effectuate the purposes of the Agreement.

The Department entered into a grant agreement with Episcopal Community Services for shelter services at Sanctuary Shelter, with an initial term of one year and a budget of $6,110,917.
The first amendment extended the grant term by one year and increased the budget to $8,631,291.
The second amendment extended the grant term by three years and increased the budget to $25,755,271.
The Commission approved the third amendment to extend the grant term by two years and increase the budget to $40,896,141.
The Budget and Finance Committee recommended the third amendment for approval by the Board of Supervisors.
The Board adopted the resolution approving the third amendment to the grant agreement.
The third amendment officially took effect, extending the grant term and increasing the budget as approved.
