Resolution approving the third amendment to the grant agreement between Felton Institute and the Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing (“HSH”) for Drop-in Center operations, extending the grant term by 24 months from June 30, 2026, for a total term of October 1, 2022, through June 30, 2028, and increasing the agreement amount by $7,134,976 for a new total amount not to exceed $16,854,149; and authorizing HSH to enter into any amendments or other modifications to the Amendment that do not materially increase the obligations or liabilities, or materially decrease the benefits to the City and are necessary or advisable to effectuate the purposes of the Agreement.
How it got here
The legislation originated from the need to extend and increase funding for the Bayview Drop-In Resource Center operated by Felton Institute, following previous amendments to the grant agreement.
HSH entered into a grant agreement with Felton Institute for Drop-In Resource Center services, with an initial term ending June 30, 2024, and a not-to-exceed amount of $4,201,720.
The first amendment increased the not-to-exceed amount by $668,644, raising the total to $4,870,364.
The second amendment extended the term by 24 months to June 30, 2026, and increased the not-to-exceed amount by $4,848,809, bringing the total to $9,719,173.
The Mayor's Office submitted a proposal to extend the grant term by 24 months and increase the funding by $7,134,976, for a new total of $16,854,149.
The Budget and Finance Committee recommended the third amendment for approval.
The Board of Supervisors adopted the resolution approving the third amendment to the grant agreement.
The Mayor approved the third amendment to the grant agreement.
