How it got here
The legislation originated from the Department of Public Health's need to extend and increase funding for mental health services provided by Hyde Street Community Services, Inc.
The Department of Public Health issued Requests for Proposals (RFP 08-2017 and RFP 11-2017) for mental health outpatient programs and intensive case management services.
An agreement was established for mental health services with a term from July 1, 2018, to December 31, 2020, with a not-to-exceed amount of $9,474,439.
The original agreement was amended to extend the term to June 30, 2026, and increase the maximum expenditure to $27,030,997.
The Department submitted a proposed resolution for a second amendment to extend the contract term to June 30, 2028, and increase the funding by $11,758,765.
The Budget and Finance Committee recommended the proposed resolution for approval.
The Board of Supervisors adopted the resolution approving the second amendment to the agreement with Hyde Street Community Services, Inc.
The Mayor approved the resolution, finalizing the amendment to the contract.
