Resolution approving Amendment No. 6 to the agreement between the City and County of San Francisco, acting by and through, the Department of Public Health (DPH), and Bayview Hunters Point Foundation, to provide mental health and substance abuse services, to extend the term by 18 months from December 31, 2026, for a total term of July 1, 2018, through June 30, 2028, and to increase the amount by $7,531,723 for a total not to exceed amount of $25,611,719; and to authorize DPH to enter into amendments or modifications to the agreement that do not materially increase the obligations or liabilities to the City and are necessary to effectuate the purposes of the agreement or this Resolution.
How it got here
The legislation originated from the need to extend and increase funding for mental health and substance abuse services provided by the Bayview Hunters Point Foundation, following a series of competitive solicitations and amendments to the original contract.
The Department of Public Health entered into an agreement with the Bayview Hunters Point Foundation for mental health and substance abuse services, with a term from July 1, 2018, to June 30, 2021, and a not-to-exceed amount of $9,757,806.
The agreement was amended to extend the term by nine months and increase the maximum expenditure to $9,800,113.
The agreement was further amended to extend the term by one year and three months, increasing the maximum expenditure to $13,489,343.
The agreement was amended to extend the term by one year and increase the maximum expenditure to $16,300,000.
The agreement was amended to extend the term by one year and increase the maximum expenditure to $16,800,000.
The agreement was amended to extend the term by 18 months and increase the maximum expenditure to $18,079,996.
The Board approved the sixth amendment to extend the term to June 30, 2028, and increase the maximum expenditure to $25,611,719.
