Ordinance amending the Planning Code to designate the Duboce Triangle Greek Revival Home, located at 2173 15th Street, Assessor’s Parcel Block No. 3560, Lot No. 022, on the south side of 15th Street between Noe Street and Sanchez Street, as a landmark consistent with the standards set forth in Article 10 of the Planning Code; affirming the Planning Department’s determination under the California Environmental Quality Act; and making public necessity, convenience, and welfare findings under Planning Code, Section 302, and findings of consistency with the General Plan, and the eight priority policies of Planning Code, Section 101.1.
How it got here
The legislation to designate the Duboce Triangle Greek Revival Home as a landmark originated from a resolution initiated by the Board of Supervisors and was reviewed by the Historic Preservation Commission.
The Board adopted Resolution No. 097-26 to initiate the landmark designation of the Duboce Triangle Greek Revival Home, which was subsequently approved by the Mayor.
The Historic Preservation Commission held a public hearing and voted to recommend the landmark designation of the Duboce Triangle Greek Revival Home, adopting Resolution No. 1571.
The Planning Department transmitted the case file for the Duboce Triangle Greek Revival Home to the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, including the Historic Preservation Commission's recommendation.
A public hearing was noticed for the Land Use and Transportation Committee to consider the ordinance for the landmark designation.
