How it got here
The legislation to designate the Engine Company No. 44 / Adams-Van Hoesen House as a landmark originated from a resolution initiated by the Board of Supervisors and subsequently reviewed by the Historic Preservation Commission.
The Board adopted Resolution No. 100-26 to initiate the landmark designation of Engine Company No. 44 / Adams-Van Hoesen House, which was approved by the Mayor on the same day.
The Historic Preservation Commission held a public hearing and voted to recommend the designation of the Engine Company No. 44 / Adams-Van Hoesen House as a landmark, adopting Resolution No. 1583.
The Planning Department transmitted the case for the landmark designation to the Board of Supervisors, including the Landmark Designation Fact Sheet and the Historic Preservation Commission's recommendation.
The ordinance was assigned to the Board of Supervisors under the 30-day rule for further consideration.
