Ordinance amending the Planning Code to designate the Elliott M. Wilson Home, located at 1335 Guerrero Street, Assessor’s Parcel Block No. 6532, Lot No. 026, on the east side of Guerrero Street between 25th Street and 26th Street, as a landmark consistent with the standards set forth in Article 10 of the Planning Code; affirming the Planning Department’s determination under the California Environmental Quality Act; and making public necessity, convenience, and welfare findings under Planning Code, Section 302, and findings of consistency with the General Plan, and the eight priority policies of Planning Code, Section 101.1.
How it got here
The legislation to designate the Elliott M. Wilson Home as a landmark originated from a resolution initiated by the Board of Supervisors and was reviewed by the Historic Preservation Commission.
On March 3, 2026, the Board adopted Resolution No. 098-26 to initiate the landmark designation process for the Elliott M. Wilson Home, which was approved by the Mayor on March 6, 2026.
The Historic Preservation Commission held a public hearing and voted to recommend the designation of the Elliott M. Wilson Home as a landmark, adopting Resolution No. 1572.
The Planning Department transmitted the case file for the Elliott M. Wilson Home to the Clerk of the Board, including the Historic Preservation Commission's recommendation and supporting documents.
A public hearing was noticed for July 20, 2026, to consider the ordinance for the landmark designation of the Elliott M. Wilson Home.
The Land Use and Transportation Committee held a public hearing to consider the ordinance for the landmark designation of the Elliott M. Wilson Home.
