Ordinance amending the Planning Code to designate the Guerrero Street Double Stick Eastlake Home located at 1415-1417 Guerrero Street, Assessor’s Parcel Block No. 6568, Lot No. 011B, on the east side of Guerrero Street between Cesar Chavez Street and 26th Street, as a landmark consistent with the standards set forth in Article 10 of the Planning Code; affirming the Planning Department’s determination under the California Environmental Quality Act; and making public necessity, convenience, and welfare findings under Planning Code, Section 302, and findings of consistency with the General Plan, and the eight priority policies of Planning Code, Section 101.1.
How it got here
The legislation to designate the Guerrero Street Double Stick Eastlake Home as a landmark originated from a resolution initiated by the Board of Supervisors and was reviewed by the Historic Preservation Commission.
The Board adopted Resolution No. 103-26 to initiate the landmark designation of the Guerrero Street Double Stick Eastlake Home.
The Mayor approved the Board's resolution initiating the landmark designation.
The Commission held a public hearing and recommended the landmark designation of the Guerrero Street Double Stick Eastlake Home by Resolution No. 1576.
The Planning Department transmitted the case to the Board of Supervisors, including the Historic Preservation Commission's recommendation.
The Clerk of the Board noticed a public hearing for the Land Use and Transportation Committee regarding the ordinance.
The Committee held a public hearing to consider the ordinance for the landmark designation.
The ordinance is currently at the first reading stage in the Board of Supervisors.
