How it got here
The legislation originated from a need to support nonprofit organizations by waiving banner and inspection fees in specific commercial districts.
The Board of Supervisors previously approved waivers of banner permit and inspection fees for nonprofit organizations with an annual budget of no more than $250,000 in certain districts.
The Planning Department determined that the proposed ordinance complies with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).
The Planning Department submitted its response regarding the CEQA determination for the ordinance.
The Land Use and Transportation Committee recommended the ordinance for passage.
The ordinance is scheduled for final passage at the Board of Supervisors meeting.
