Motion approving phased Final Map No. 12681, Candlestick Point Major Phase 2, relating to portions of the Candlestick Point-Hunters Point Shipyard Phase 2 Project, for condominium purposes, a merger and re-subdivision resulting in a total of 50 lots, consisting of 12 development lots, 24 lots intended for public right-of-way use, and 14 remainder lots, and authorizing up to 441 residential condominium units and up to 15 commercial condominium units, subject to specified conditions; and approving a Public Improvement Agreement related to Final Map No. 12681.
How it got here
The legislation originated from the need to approve a phased final map for the Candlestick Point Major Phase 2 project, which is part of the larger Hunters Point Shipyard redevelopment effort.
The Planning Commission certified the Environmental Impact Report for the Candlestick Point-Hunters Point Shipyard Phase 2 Development Project, which laid the groundwork for future development.
The Director of Public Works approved the Vesting Tentative Map No. 7878 for the proposed subdivision of property at Candlestick Point, subject to certain conditions.
The Planning Department found that the Vesting Tentative Map was consistent with the General Plan and Planning Code, which was reconfirmed on June 17, 2014.
OCII determined that Final Map No. 12681 is consistent with the Bayview Hunters Point Redevelopment Plan and other applicable plan documents.
Public Works issued a conditional approval of the Deferred Materials Submittal Package for the phased final map, which included necessary exceptions and deferrals.
The Board of Supervisors referred the motion for adoption without committee reference at the next board meeting.
The Board of Supervisors approved the motion for Final Map No. 12681, authorizing the subdivision into 50 lots and the associated Public Improvement Agreement.
