How it got here
This legislation originated from the need to provide project-based rental subsidies for a 106-unit affordable housing project in San Francisco, following the approval of Proposition G by voters in 2024.
Voters approved Proposition G, establishing the Affordable Housing Opportunity Fund (AHOF) to provide rental subsidies for extremely low-income households.
MOHCD issued a Notice of Funding Availability for the AHOF, inviting proposals for rental subsidies to support extremely low-income households.
The committee recommended approval of a grant to MHDC South Park Properties, LP for project-based rental subsidies for the South Park Scattered Sites project.
The Board received and assigned the resolution to approve the grant agreement for the South Park Scattered Sites project, which is pending committee action.
