Resolution approving Amendment No. 4 to the Agreement between City, acting by and through the Office of Contract Administration, and Polydyne, Inc. for the supply of wastewater treatment polymers, to increase the Agreement’s not to exceed amount to $12,060,000; and to authorize the Office of Contract Administration to make non-material changes to the Amendment prior to its final execution by all parties that do not materially increase the obligations or liabilities to the City and are necessary or advisable to effectuate the purposes of the Agreement.
How it got here
This legislation originated from the need to amend an existing contract for wastewater treatment polymers due to increased operational demands.
The Office of Contract Administration issued an Invitation for Bids for Wastewater Treatment Polymers for use by the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission’s wastewater treatment facilities.
The City entered into an agreement with Polydyne, Inc. for the supply of wastewater treatment polymers with a not-to-exceed amount of $5,200,000.
Amendment No. 1 was executed to incorporate price adjustments and maintain the original not-to-exceed amount.
Amendment No. 2 extended the contract through January 31, 2026, and increased the not-to-exceed amount to $7,015,000.
Amendment No. 3 extended the contract through January 31, 2028, and increased the not-to-exceed amount to $9,900,000.
Draft Amendment No. 4 was prepared to increase the not-to-exceed amount to $12,060,000 due to increased operational needs.
The Office of Contract Administration submitted a resolution to the Board of Supervisors for approval of Amendment No. 4.
