How it got here
The legislation originated from a request by Ava Jamshidnejad for a Major Encroachment Permit to maintain utilities and retaining walls at 150 Bronte Street, prompted by the construction of a new single-family home.
Ava Jamshidnejad submitted an application for a Major Encroachment Permit to the Department of Public Works for utilities connections and retaining walls as part of her new home construction project.
The Planning Department determined that the project was categorically exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).
The Planning Department reported that the encroachments are in conformity with the General Plan and consistent with the eight priority policies of Planning Code, Section 101.1.
A public hearing was held where the hearing officer recommended approval of the Major Encroachment Permit after no objections were raised.
Public Works issued Order No. 212769 recommending the Board of Supervisors approve the street encroachment permit and associated encroachment agreement.
Public Works Order No. 300395 established the initial payment for the public right-of-way occupancy assessment fee and certified the annual maintenance cost for the permit.
The resolution granting revocable permission for the encroachment was received and assigned to a committee for further action.
