This resolution formally apologizes to African Americans and their descendants for historical discrimination and violence in San Francisco. It also commits the Board of Supervisors to addressing and correcting these past injustices.

Resolution apologizing on behalf of the Board of Supervisors of the City and County of San Francisco to African Americans and their descendants for systemic and structural discrimination, targeted acts of violence, and atrocities; and committing to the rectification and redress of past policies and misdeeds.

This ordinance requires property owners to file inspection records for fire sprinkler and alarm systems with the Fire Department and establishes a fee to cover the filing costs. It also mandates a minimum five-foot access from public pathways to residential buildings on newly subdivided lots.

This ordinance establishes fire safety standards for charging and storing lithium-ion batteries in powered mobility devices, bans the use of damaged batteries, and prohibits the use of reconditioned batteries made from used cells. It also requires the Fire Department to run an informational campaign about these regulations.

This resolution allows the San Francisco Police Department to officially partner with the United States Capitol Police to provide additional law enforcement support from January 1, 2021, to December 31, 2023. It has been approved retroactively.

The ordinance authorizes the City and County of San Francisco to settle a lawsuit for $190,000 related to allegations of negligence and violations of patient rights concerning care at Laguna Honda Hospital. The lawsuit was filed by Alfred Coutts in May 2020.

This legislation calls for a hearing to review a report from the Controller regarding invoices related to a grant agreement between the San Francisco Police Department and SF SAFE. It requests updates from various city offices and the SF SAFE Board on this matter.

This ordinance allows the Police Department to use grant money from the Organized Retail Theft Grant Program to buy equipment and services without going through the usual competitive bidding process. It aims to enhance efforts in addressing organized retail theft in the city.

The contract will still run from July 1, 2021, to June 30, 2024, with the option to extend for two additional years.

This resolution approves a settlement for a grievance filed by the San Francisco Deputy Sheriff’s Association, resulting in a payment of $94,675 to resolve an employment dispute. The grievance pertains to issues outlined in the existing employment agreement between the deputies and the city.

The ordinance allows the Office of the District Attorney to use a $2,050,000 grant from the State of California to support a program targeting organized retail theft. It also adds two grant-funded positions to the office for the duration of the grant, from October 1, 2023, to June 1, 2027.

Ordinance retroactively authorizing the Office of the District Attorney to accept and expend a grant in the amount of $2,050,000 from the State of California, Board of State and Community Corrections, to fund the Organized Retail Theft Vertical Prosecution Grant Program; and amending Ordinance No. 145-23 (Annual Salary Ordinance, File No. 230645 for Fiscal Years (FYs) 2023-2024 and 2024-2025) to provide for the addition of one grant-funded position in Class 8177 Attorney-Civil/Criminal (FTE 1.0) and one grant-funded position in Class 8550 District Attorney’s Investigator-SFERS (FTE 1.0) at the Office of the District Attorney for the grant agreement period of October 1, 2023, through June 1, 2027.

This legislation calls for a hearing to examine the working conditions and support available for women with children in the San Francisco Police Department, focusing on lactation resources and childcare. It also requests reports from several city departments on these issues.

This resolution approves an emergency declaration to replace essential equipment at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, with costs exceeding $250,000. It also confirms that the project complies with environmental regulations.

This resolution allows the San Francisco District Attorney's Office to accept and use a $1.2 million grant from the MacArthur Foundation to help reduce jail incarceration and address racial and ethnic disparities in jail usage from January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2025. It aims to support the city's efforts as part of the Safety and Justice Challenge initiative.

Resolution retroactively authorizing the Office of the District Attorney of the City and County of San Francisco to accept and expend a grant in the amount of $1,200,000 from the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, for the grant period of January 1, 2023, through December 31, 2025, to support and sustain the City and County of San Francisco's comprehensive efforts to reduce jail incarceration and racial and ethnic disparities in jail usage as a site in the Safety and Justice Challenge.

This resolution allows the Department on the Status of Women to accept an increased grant of $155,850.45 from the Blue Shield California Foundation, bringing the total grant amount to $305,850.45 for a program aimed at ending domestic violence, covering the period from April 1, 2023, to March 31, 2024.

Resolution retroactively authorizing the Department on the Status of Women to accept and expend a grant increase in the amount of $155,850.45 for a total amount of $305,850.45 from the Blue Shield California Foundation for a one-year grant period from April 1, 2023, through March 31, 2024, for the Leveraging Collaboratives to End Domestic Violence Program.
