The hearing will evaluate how the $120 million allocated to the Dream Keepers Initiative has been spent and identify additional needs the initiative can address. Various city departments, including the Human Rights Commission and the Department of Public Health, have been asked to provide reports on this matter.

The ordinance authorizes the City and County of San Francisco to settle a lawsuit for $125,000 related to alleged medical negligence that resulted in personal injury and wrongful death. The lawsuit was filed by Floridalma Jeronimo and Gerardo Perez in May 2021.

The ordinance authorizes the City to settle a lawsuit for $120,313 related to a personal injury that occurred on a City street. The settlement includes a payment of $85,000 to the plaintiff and $35,313 to satisfy a lien owed to the Department of Public Health.

This legislation calls for a hearing to discuss how the Compassionate Alternative Response Team (CART) is being implemented in San Francisco. It requests reports from the Department of Emergency Management, Department of Public Health, and the CART Working Group on this initiative.

This legislation calls for a hearing to discuss the wages of non-profit workers and how it affects the ability of City-funded homeless and mental health service providers to hire and keep qualified staff. It also requests reports from the Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing and the Department of Public Health on this issue.

This ordinance requires hospitals and skilled nursing facilities in San Francisco to report annually to the Department of Public Health on the number and demographics of patients transferred out of the City for skilled nursing care, as well as those who qualify for such care but remain in the City. The goal is to gather data on patient transfers to improve health care services.

Ordinance amending the Health Code to require general acute care hospitals and hospital-based skilled nursing facilities in the City to report annually to the Department of Public Health the number of, and certain demographic information regarding, patients transferred to a health facility outside of the City to receive skilled nursing care and patients who qualify for skilled nursing care but are not transferred to a health facility outside of the City.
