This resolution urges the San Francisco Department of Public Health to develop a program that offers resources and education to gun violence victims about their legal rights to sue gun manufacturers under California Assembly Bill No. 1594. It has been passed by the city legislature.

This motion changes the rules for public comment at Board of Supervisors meetings by ending remote participation, allowing only in-person comments, except for those required by law to accommodate individuals with disabilities. The motion has been passed and is now in effect.

Motion amending the Board of Supervisors’ Rules of Order by revising Rule 1.3.3 (In-Person and Remote Public Comment) to discontinue remote public comment by members of the public at meetings of the Board and its committees, except as legally required to enable people with disabilities to participate in such meetings.

This resolution approves an increase in funding by $6.6 million for the Citywide Grocery Access program, bringing the total grant amount to approximately $17.8 million. It also extends the grant period to cover from July 1, 2022, to June 30, 2024.

Resolution retroactively approving the second amendment to the grant agreement between the City and County of San Francisco and the non-profit San Francisco-Marin Food Bank, for the administration of the Citywide Grocery Access program, to increase the grant amount by $6,600,000 for a total not to exceed amount of $17,828,328 and to extend the grant period from July 1, 2023, for a total period of July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2024.

The resolution accepts the Final San Francisco Reparations Plan proposed by the African American Reparations Advisory Committee. This plan outlines recommendations for reparations to address historical injustices faced by the African American community in San Francisco.

This ordinance extends deadlines for existing buildings with public access to comply with disability access requirements and allows for more time to request extensions. It also gives the Department of Building Inspection additional time to report on the disability access improvement program to the Board of Supervisors.

Ordinance amending the Building Code to extend the deadlines for existing buildings with a place of public accommodation to comply with the requirement to have all primary entries and paths of travel into the building accessible to persons with disabilities or to receive a City determination of equivalent facilitation, technical infeasibility, or unreasonable hardship; to extend the period for granting extensions from those deadlines; and to extend the time for the Department of Building Inspection’s Report to the Board of Supervisors regarding the disability access improvement program.

This legislation schedules a public hearing for the Board of Supervisors to discuss updates on the Draft San Francisco Reparations Plan and the Dream Keeper Initiative. It involves presentations from the Human Rights Commission, the African American Reparations Advisory Committee, and the Dream Keeper Initiative.

This ordinance changes the Park Code by reducing the number of seats on the Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Advisory Committee, allowing for alternate members, permitting longer service terms, prioritizing members with experience in racial equity and disability issues, and requiring meetings to be held at City Hall. These adjustments aim to enhance the committee's effectiveness and inclusivity.

Ordinance amending the Park Code to 1) reduce the number of seats on the Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Advisory Committee (PROSAC), 2) provide for alternate members, 3) allow members to serve for more than four consecutive terms, 4) provide for the appointment of members having experience with racial equity and disability issues; and 5) provide that meetings shall occur at City Hall.
