Resolution approving the sixth amendment to the grant agreement between St. Vincent de Paul Society of San Francisco and the Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing (“HSH”) to provide shelter operations and services at the Multi-Service Center South; extending the grant term by 12 months from June 30, 2025, for a total term of July 1, 2021, through June 30, 2026; increasing the agreement amount by $17,580,830 for a new total not to exceed amount of $43,519,178; and authorizing HSH to enter into any amendments or other modifications to the agreement that do not materially increase the obligations or liabilities, or materially decrease the benefits to the City and are necessary or advisable to effectuate the purposes of the agreement.
How it got here
The legislation originated from the need to extend and increase funding for shelter operations at the Multi-Service Center South, managed by St. Vincent de Paul Society of San Francisco.
HSH entered into a grant agreement with St. Vincent de Paul Society of San Francisco for shelter operations and services at the Multi-Service Center South, with a term from July 1, 2021, to June 30, 2022, for an amount not to exceed $9,596,285.
A no-cost amendment was executed to shift $50,000 of funding from the General Fund to a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Emergency Solutions Grant.
The second amendment increased the not-to-exceed amount by $403,650 and extended the agreement until August 31, 2022.
The third amendment reduced the not-to-exceed amount by $1,048,169 and extended the agreement until September 30, 2022.
The Board adopted Resolution No. 376-22, extending the agreement term by 21 months to June 30, 2024, and increasing the not-to-exceed amount by $16,986,582.
A no-cost amendment was executed to extend the agreement term by 12 months to June 30, 2025.
The Board approved the sixth amendment to extend the grant term by 12 months to June 30, 2026, and increase the funding by $17,580,830 for a total not to exceed amount of $43,519,178.
