This resolution allows the San Francisco Police Department to use a grant of $1,407,675.74 to enhance officer wellness and mental health resources for its members, covering the period from July 1, 2022, to December 1, 2025. It was passed retroactively to authorize the acceptance and expenditure of these funds.

Resolution retroactively authorizing the Police Department to accept and expend a grant in the amount of $1,407,675.74 from the California Board of State and Community Corrections Officer Wellness and Mental Health Grant Program to improve officer wellness and expand mental health sources for our sworn members with the project period beginning on July 1, 2022, through December 1, 2025.

This resolution allows the Police Department to accept and use 900 units of Naloxone, a medication that can reverse opioid overdoses, valued at $48,750. The Naloxone is provided through a project funded by a federal health agency and managed by the Department of Health Care Services.

This ordinance establishes a new annual retail food permit for food operators who want to sell at special events in San Francisco and sets the associated fees for obtaining this permit. It amends existing health and business tax regulations to accommodate this change.

This ordinance establishes a two-year pilot program that restricts retail food and tobacco establishments in a high-crime area of the Tenderloin from operating between midnight and 5 a.m. It allows for fines and legal actions against businesses that violate these hours.

Ordinance amending the Police Code to create a two-year pilot program, during which retail food and tobacco establishments in a high-crime area of the Tenderloin police district are prohibited from being open to the public from 12:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m., or from 2:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. if subject to regulation by the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control; authorizing the Department of Public Health to impose administrative fines for violation of the hours restrictions; declaring an establishment’s operation in violation of the hours restrictions to be a public nuisance; authorizing enforcement actions by the City Attorney; and creating a private right of action for persons harmed by a violation of the hours restriction.

This resolution approves a settlement where the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services will pay San Francisco $441,521.39 for underpayment of Medicare costs related to specific fiscal years. The claims were originally filed in late 2016 and pertain to outlier payments under the Medicare system.

This legislation calls for a hearing to discuss evictions in the city's Permanent Supportive Housing projects that receive city funding and to explore ways to prevent and reduce these evictions. It also requests reports from relevant city departments on the issue.

This legislation calls for a hearing to discuss the housing needs of San Francisco's growing senior population and how the city plans to address these needs. It also requests reports from various city departments on their strategies for providing housing for seniors.

Hearing on the continuum of housing needs of the growing senior population and the City’s strategies to comprehensively plan for and provide this housing across the spectrum; and requesting that the Department of Disability and Aging Services, Planning Department, Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development, Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing, and Department of Public Health to report.

The ordinance establishes the Library Read to Recovery Program, which provides free written materials and books related to recovery from substance-use and non-substance-related addictive disorders at the Main Library and all Library branches. This initiative aims to support individuals seeking help with their recovery journey.

Ordinance amending the Administrative Code to establish the Library Read to Recovery Program to provide at the Main Library and all Library branches free written materials and books from mutual-help programs, for individuals who seek recovery from substance-use disorders and non-substance-related addictive disorders.

This ordinance aims to prevent housing discrimination against individuals based on pregnancy or related medical conditions. It is currently awaiting action from the committee.
