This motion extends the local health emergency declaration for the Monkeypox virus in San Francisco, initially made on August 1, 2022. It allows the city to continue its response efforts and allocate resources to manage the outbreak.

This resolution extends the grant agreement with the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank for the COVID-19 Food Assistance Program by six months and increases the total funding by approximately $7.4 million. The new grant term will run from July 1, 2020, to June 30, 2022, starting on October 15, 2021.

Resolution retroactively authorizing the Department of Public Health to enter into an emergency contract with Health Management Associates, Inc., in compliance with Section 21.15 of the Administrative Code requiring approval by the Board of Supervisors for any emergency contract in excess of $100,000 for the purpose of providing specialized consulting services, in an amount not to exceed $3,782,365 for a term of thirteen and one-half months, from May 9, 2022, through June 30, 2023; and approving Amendment 1 to the agreement for providing specialized consulting services to increase the agreement by $2,080,937 for an amount not to exceed $5,863,302 with no change to the contract term from May 9, 2022, through June 30, 2023; and to authorize the Department of Public Health to enter into any amendments or modifications to the contract that do not otherwise materially increase the obligations or liabilities to the City and are necessary or advisable to effectuate the purposes of the contract or this Resolution.

This resolution allows the Department of Public Health to retroactively approve a contract with Tryfacta, Inc. for temporary staffing services, not exceeding $1,000,000, for a six-month period from June 17, 2022, to December 17, 2022, and permits minor amendments to the contract as needed.

This resolution approves an increase of over $5.2 million to a consulting agreement with Health Services Advisory Group, bringing the total to nearly $7 million for specialized services provided to the Department of Public Health. It also allows the Department to make minor amendments to the contract as needed without increasing the city's obligations.

Resolution retroactively approving Amendment No. 1 to the agreement between Health Services Advisory Group, Inc., and the Department of Public Health, as authorized under Section 21.15 of the Administrative Code, for the purpose of providing specialized consulting services, to increase the agreement by $5,211,317 for an amount not to exceed $6,989,564 for a total agreement term of seven and one-half months, with no changes to the term of May 9, 2022, through December 31, 2022; and to authorize the Department of Public Health to enter into any amendments or modifications to the contract that do not otherwise materially increase the obligations or liabilities to the City and are necessary or advisable to effectuate the purposes of the contract or this Resolution.

This motion officially supports the San Francisco Health Officer's declaration of a local health emergency due to the Monkeypox virus outbreak. It allows the city to take necessary actions to address the public health situation.
