This ordinance allows the Department of Human Resources to manage the T.J. Anthony Employee Catastrophic Illness Program and the Catastrophic Illness Program for the family members of city employees. It updates the Administrative Code to facilitate these functions.

Ordinance amending the Administrative Code to authorize the Department of Human Resources to carry out various functions in the administration of the T.J. Anthony Employee Catastrophic Illness Program for City employees and the Catastrophic Illness Program for Family Members of City employees.

This ordinance removes the local requirement for existing buildings with public access to ensure all main entrances and travel paths are accessible for people with disabilities, unless they receive a specific city determination. It also confirms that the Planning Department's assessment complies with environmental regulations.

Ordinance amending the Building, Administrative, and Public Works Codes to remove the local requirement for existing buildings with a place of public accommodation to have all primary entries and paths of travel into the building accessible to persons with disabilities or to receive a City determination of equivalent facilitation, technical infeasibility, or unreasonable hardship; and affirming the Planning Department’s determination under the California Environmental Quality Act.

This resolution approves a five-year agreement between the City and Mission Graduates to support five school programs with a total funding of up to $10,717,300. It also allows the Department of Children, Youth and Their Families to make necessary changes to the agreement without increasing the City's financial obligations.

Resolution retroactively approving the Agreement between the City, acting by and through the Department of Children, Youth and Their Families (“DCYF”), and Mission Graduates, under the All Children And Youth Are Ready To Learn And Succeed In School Result Area for the following five school programs: Bessie Carmichael Beacon, Everett Middle School Beacon, Flynn Elementary School Beacon, Sanchez Elementary School Beacon, and Mission HS/O’Connell HS/June Jordan SE Summer Program, for a term of five years from July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2029, and for a total not to exceed amount of $10,717,300; and to authorize DCYF to enter into amendments or modifications to the Agreement that do not materially increase the obligations or liabilities to the City and are necessary to effectuate the purposes of the Agreement or this Resolution.

This resolution approves a five-year agreement between the City and Bay Area Community Resources for various youth and family programs, totaling up to $16.8 million. It also allows the Acting Director of the Department of Children, Youth and Their Families to make minor amendments to the agreement as needed.

Resolution retroactively approving an Agreement between City, acting by and through the Department of Children, Youth and Their Families, and Bay Area Community Resources for the following programs: A Home Away From Homelessness; A.P. Giannini Beacon; Bret Harte Beacon; Hoover Beacon; Paul Revere Beacon; Summer Learning; and Latino Task Force After School, for a total term of five years from July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2029, and for a total not to exceed amount of $16,806,000; and to authorize the Department of Children, Youth and Their Families’ Acting Director to enter into amendments or modifications to the Agreement that do not materially increase the obligations or liabilities to the City and are necessary to effectuate the purposes of the Agreement or this Resolution.

The hearing will evaluate how the $120 million allocated to the Dream Keepers Initiative has been spent and identify additional needs the initiative can address. Various city departments, including the Human Rights Commission and the Department of Public Health, have been asked to provide reports on this matter.

Hearing on the resources allocated for the Dream Keepers Initiative, specifically on which programs have been funded by the allocated $120,000,000 and assessing other needs that the Dream Keepers Initiative can support; requesting the Human Rights Commission, Office of Economic and Workforce Development, Mayor's Office of Housing and Community Development, Department of Children Youth and their Families, Arts Commission, Department of Public Health, Office of Early Care and Education, Fire Department, and Department of Human Resources to report.

This resolution allows the Department of Public Health to use a $180,000 grant from the San Francisco General Hospital Foundation for a program supporting the MedSurg/ICU and Family Birth Center from September 2024 to August 2025. It has been approved retroactively.

The ordinance aimed to create an Office of Citywide Food Coordination to tackle food insecurity in San Francisco and required a Food Security Report every five years. It also proposed to dissolve the Food Security Task Force a year earlier than originally planned, but the ordinance has been killed.

Ordinance amending the Administrative Code to establish an Office of Citywide Food Coordination (“OCFC”) within the Human Services Agency, charged with coordinating citywide efforts to address food insecurity among San Francisco residents, preparing a Food Security Report every five years that examines the scope of food insecurity among San Francisco residents, and seeking the input of community organizations and other City departments to inform the Food Security Report and the OCFC’s efforts; and dissolving the Food Security Task Force on July 1, 2025, instead of July 1, 2026.

This resolution approves a five-year agreement between the City and the Community Youth Center of San Francisco to fund four youth programs, totaling up to $11.73 million. It also allows the Department of Children, Youth and Families to make necessary adjustments to the agreement without increasing the city's financial obligations.

The resolution approves a five-year agreement between the City and the Instituto Familiar de la Raza Inc for two programs aimed at supporting youth and families, with a total funding of up to $12,929,020. It also allows the Department of Children, Youth and Families to make minor changes to the agreement as needed without increasing the city's financial obligations.

Resolution retroactively approving an agreement between the City and County of San Francisco, acting by and through the Department of Children, Youth and Their Families, and the Richmond District Neighborhood Ctr Inc for four programs: Defining Success: Academic Support Continuum, 6th-12th Grade; Beacon Pathways at Presidio Middle School (MS); Beacon Pathways at Roosevelt Middle School; and Multi-Cultural Arts Program: K-12 Art Pathways; for a total term of five years from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2029, and for a total not to exceed amount of $10,366,200; and to authorize Department of Children, Youth and Families to enter into amendments or modifications to the Agreement that do not materially increase the obligations or liabilities to the City and are necessary to effectuate the purposes of the Agreement or this Resolution.

The ordinance authorizes the City and County of San Francisco to settle a lawsuit for $200,000 related to an alleged civil rights violation. The lawsuit was filed by Jane Doe in September 2022 in federal court.

City and County of San Francisco, et al.; the lawsuit involves an alleged civil rights violation.

This resolution allows the Department of Technology to finalize a contract with CENIC to provide fiber optic cable for data connectivity to UCSF, covering the period from May 25, 2011, to May 25, 2031. The contract is expected to generate $6,970,000 in revenue.

Resolution retroactively authorizing the Department of Technology to enter into a contract with Corporation for Education Network Initiatives in California (“CENIC”) and to provide fiber optic cable strands to establish a fiber optic network in support of CENIC services to provide data connectivity for the University of California, San Francisco (“UCSF”) for the period between May 25, 2011, through May 25, 2031, with an expected revenue of $6,970,000.
